Environment Types define resource limits for Environments and allow self-service provisioning of virtual clusters. Nirmata has built-in environment types that can be customized and new environment types can be defined as needed. You can also add new environment types.
To add an environment type, navigate to the Environment Types panel and select Add Environment Type. Then:
- Enter a name.
- Enter Resource Quota entries for this environment type.
- Select Is Default, if this environment type should be the default environment type. The default environment type is used if no environment type is specified when creating an environment.
- Click OK. Once you click on OK, an environment type should be created.
Now, you can add access control to the environment type (optional) by clicking on the environment type name and editing the “Access Controls”.
